The City of Red Wing would like to inform the public that the following notification has been received from Lumen / CenturyLink:

Lumen / CenturyLink and its contractor Telcom Construction will be performing telecommunications work at E. Seventh St. near the intersection of Seventh and Centennial St, which will require a temporary lane restriction and sidewalk detour.

On Monday November 8 through Thursday November 25, the sidewalk on the north side of Seventh St in the 400 block will be detoured to the south side of Seventh and the traffic lanes within this intersection will be narrowed to provide safe working conditions for underground fiber installation. Additionally, there will be no street parking on this block for the duration of the work. The construction will continue north on Centennial St. then east on Fifth St. with no impact to traffic.

We appreciate the cooperation and patience of neighbors, drivers, and pedestrians during this time of inconvenience. Motorists are encouraged to stay alert and drive carefully through all work zones. Thank you in advance for your patience.
